The memories and accuracy of the road trip back in 1997 is a little hazy. Events may or may not be factual.
Me and two of my closest friends loaded up in my car and off we went towards Phoenix. 845 miles and 24hrs later, hello desert. Saturday morning, day five of our adventures and we decided to head west towards California. White Rabbit was playing on the portable CD player, which was plugged in through the aux tape blaring through the speakers. The quality was shit, the music that is. We pulled over on a whim and decided to explore the desert. I remember walking thought the ditch and into the field of desert. Scorpions and snakes scurrying around my flip flop wearing toes.
One minute the desert was green and sandy, the next the cactus were turning into banana cacti , flowers blooming, purple chipmunks feasting on pecans and cherries and the birds singing Hotel California. I dug up a little cactus, named him Mr. Prickles and hopped back in the car. The next thing I remember is looking at the beach in San Diego.
